September Board Meeting Recap: Celebrating Woodridge Middle School Leaders

Student recognition took center stage during the September 2026 Woodridge Board of Education meeting as six outstanding eighth-grade students from Woodridge Middle School were honored.
WMS Principal Jesse Hosford presented the students for recognition based on their demonstration of the five competencies that make up our Portrait of a Bulldog: Empathy, Problem-Solving, Integrity, Communication, and Resiliency.
These students connect with others through respect and compassion, approach challenges with creativity and thoughtful solutions, act with honesty and strong values, communicate clearly while listening to others, and demonstrate the perseverance and flexibility needed to grow through challenges.
The students were also selected to serve as House Leaders as part of the new WMS House System. They are among a group of 24 students who will participate in leadership training throughout the school year, helping build school spirit, earn the respect of their peers, and provide a strong student voice within their respective Houses.
Congratulations to our September honorees:
- Vista: Josiah Hooks and Chris Richmond
- Rapid: Camron McCray and Ty’Vayah Thomas
- Ember: Jack Brandy and Harlee Robinson
We are proud of these six students for representing the very best of Woodridge Middle School and demonstrating what it means to be a Bulldog. Thank you to our Board of Education for continuing the tradition of recognizing and celebrating our students during its monthly meetings.
