WHS School Counseling Home

School Counseling services are available to all students at Woodridge High School.  There are three full-time counselors at Woodridge High School to assist students with their academic, career, and personal-social decisions.  Contact information for these individuals and additional staff is located to the right.

Graduation Requirements and Honors Diploma Criteria

Woodridge HS scheduling resources for the 2026-27 school year are now available, as well as our schedule change policy.  The district also provides College Credit Plus (Ohio's dual enrollment program that allows students in grades 7-12 to earn high school and college credits simultaneously) and Six District Compact (Career-Technical Education) for WHS students.

Services provided by the School Counseling Department are for ALL students.  The counselors are available for every student who wishes to discuss such matters as career planning, educational planning, and personal and social development.

A Family and Student's Guide to AP & CCP Courses at Woodridge High School provides additional resources.

Materials are available in both the School Counseling Department and the Library concerning areas of occupation or college information.  The Ohio Career Information Systems (OCIS) is available for any student interested in utilizing a computer-based program to assist in appropriate career and educational options.

The School Counseling Department provides assistance to students and parents through a variety of activities which include:

  • individual counseling
  • high school course selection and scheduling
  • career information services
  • parent/teacher conferences
  • testing and placement
  • coordination with community agencies
  • transcript and record-keeping activities
  • classroom presentations
