Woodridge Elementary School kindergarten teacher Kim Zeiner has been selected as the first winner of McDonald’s of Northeast Ohio’s social media teacher nomination giveaway, which celebrates educators who go above and beyond in their schools and communities.
Two heartfelt nominations from Keri Kralik and Stacey Pettit Albanese highlighted Zeiner’s dedication to students, creativity in the classroom, and support of her colleagues.
Kralik, who has worked alongside Zeiner and had both of her children in her classroom, praised her ability to make learning engaging and meaningful. She also highlighted Zeiner’s work developing curriculum and securing DonorsChoose projects that provide new materials and experiences for students—including a book vending machine used by the entire school.
“She is the kind of teacher every child deserves and the kind of colleague every teacher is lucky to have,” Kralik shared.
Albanese echoed those sentiments, describing Zeiner’s tireless efforts to ensure students have what they need to learn, grow, and succeed. Her nomination also recognized the encouragement and support Zeiner provides to fellow teachers.
Both nominations included a lighthearted nod to Zeiner’s love of McDonald’s Diet Coke, with Kralik noting that she often brings drinks to share with colleagues.
To celebrate her selection, McDonald’s of Northeast Ohio will provide Zeiner with a prize pack and deliver 50 breakfast sandwiches for the Woodridge Elementary teachers’ lounge. A delivery date will be coordinated with the school.
Congratulations to Kim Zeiner on this well-deserved recognition! Woodridge is grateful for the care, creativity, and dedication she brings to our school community.
Thank you to Keri Kralik and Stacey Pettit Albanese for sharing her impact, and to McDonald’s of Northeast Ohio for recognizing outstanding educators.
